NO COUNTRY FOR YOUNG MEN

Five hundred thousand young people leave Italy and flee overseas every year. They call it “brain drain” but among the new emigrants there are a lot of ordinary young people seeking their fortune. Sandro and Luciano are two of them.

They become friends at the restaurant where they both work as waiters. Sandro is a young boy eager to find his way. He wants to become a writer but he’s still a bit confused. Luciano has worked as a waiter for a few years but is planning to flee to the place where everything seems possible; Cuba.
As foreigners are now investing in the socialist country the economy is booming. You can start a new business with very little money so Luciano dreams of opening an Italian restaurant with Wifi. The two friends decide to try their luck in Havana where Nora, a stunning, wild, and eccentric Italian young woman receives them as they arrive.

This is the start of an enthralling story of young dreams, old traumas, family, love, violence, and friendship.
