In Rome, the Cassamortari are people who work in the funeral business. The Pasti family's agency was founded by Giuseppe, a man willing to do anything to turn a corpse into money, preferably black money.
When Guiseppe dies, his 4 children inherits his business. Giovanni, the eldest manages the clients. Maria, establishes relationships with the widowers. Marco is the dead people’s official make up artist and the youngest one, Matteo, is the company’s social media manager.

The 4 siblings are attached, in some way or another, to their fathers will, but their mother have inherited the life interest that she spends and distributes however she feels for.


When the famous rockstar, and big idol of Maria, called Gabriele Archangelo dies, his manager Maddalena hires the Pasti’s to take care of the funeral. But the singers only daughter wants to make as much profit as possible out of her fathers death, and both the Pasti’s and Maddalena soon begins to understand the potential commercial value of the corpse when the fans don't want to let go of the singer
